Product Details

OWLINK DLI150M Metal Wrap DLI Optical Metal Wrapped Fiber Cable (150 Feet Long)

Metal Wrapped Cable has added Durability and damage prevention.

DLI Fiber Optic Cable - The lowest Cost, Highest Bandwidth Cabling.

DLI Fiber Optic Connector:
OWLink’s patented fiber optic connector, DLI™ (digital light interface), was designed to be a consumer friendly fiber optic connector with respect to cost and usage model. The DLI™ connector easily plugs into its optical module, and features strain relief to help against consumers pulling too hard on the cable.

With a special tool kit from OWLink, anyone can terminate their own fiber cable with DLI™ connectors. OWLink has designed the DLI™ connector to be more forgiving vs. traditional telecom fiber optic connectors when doing custom terminations.

OWLink is working with OEMs (such as HDTV manufacturers) to integrate DLI™ connectors directly into their equipment. OWLink is promoting DLI™ as the fiber optic connectivity standard for consumer electronics and computer products.

DLI Fiber Optic Cable:
OWLink’s fiber optic cable spool w/ DLI connectors is the lowest cost, highest bandwidth cabling available for all signal types (video, audio, control). OWLink supports fiber optic cable lengths of up to 300M. OWLink offers multiple fiber optic cable types to satisfy different job requirements. Fiber optic cable types include: transparent thin, Kevlar wrapped, and metal wrapped.

OWLink transparent DLI™ fiber cable can be installed on the wall invisibly and is the preferred fiber cable for retrofit and do it yourself applications.

OWLink Kevlar wrapped and metal wrapped DLI™ fiber cables are more durable than transparent thin cabling but they are not invisible. These cables are better suited to be installed in the wall or in more rugged environments (ex: outdoors).

Compared to copper cabling (ex: HDMI), OWLink fiber optic cabling has many advantages. Advantages include:

* Longer distance transmission – up to 300M with no signal booster.
* No EMI.
* Higher Bandwidth.
* Capability to carry all signal types (video, audio, and control) – simplifying the amount of cabling needed.
* Size and Weight – transparent thin cable is similar to fishing line with respect to size and weight. This makes the cabling great for boats, airplanes, etc.
