Fiber Optic KVM Extender with DVI

Features
Think Logical Solution
Industry standard DVI video formats or RGB formats up to 165MHz are
supported over multi-mode fiber. The VIS-1 KVM Extender supports
one RGB or one Single-Link DVI signal. Any resolution which fits
into the 165MHz bandwidth will be flawlessly transported from end
to end. The VIS-1 harnesses advanced fiber optic
technology which means that image quality is not compromised
with problems such as frame-dropping or content loss. Four port
USB hub allows direct connection of four HID devices at the
receiver end.

Each system consists of a transmitter and a receiver connected by
multi-mode fiber optic cable. The transmitter unit connects to the
computer with suitable cables and the receiver unit provides
connections to the user interface devices. The VIS-1 is capable of
supporting PS2, full duplex stereo audio, serial (RS-232), and USB
1.0 (HID) device ports.

The VIS-1 is a digital fiber optic transmitter/ receiver
system. All video, keyboard, mouse, USB, audio and serial signals
from the computer source are digitized and converted to light at
the transmitter. These optical signals are then sent to the VIS-1
fiber optic receiver via two fibers. One fiber supports the video
and the other supports all other signals.

The receiver converts the video signals back from optical to
both RGB and DVI formats, which allows the use of either
traditional analog monitors or newer DVI display devices. The
system also has connectivity for all common keyboard and mouse
types, USB and PS2. All electronic conversion, remapping and even
international translation is supported. Everything you need to
assure compatibility between the computer and the user station
devices is bundled into the VIS-1 KVM Extender system
