Gefen VGA Extender Enhancer EXT-VDL-1000

Product Details

Gefen VIDEO DELAY LINE FOR CAT-5 PRODUCTS.

How it works
The supplied VGA cable connects from the VGA output of your KVM extender and into the input of the VDL-1000. The monitor is attached to the ouput of the VDL-1000. Each color (RGB) has three sets of buttons that will adjust the delay of the color.

Note:  When CAT-5 cable is used for high quality video transmission, usually the Red, Green and Blue signals are each sent down a separate pair (within one 4-pair cable). This may have a significant effect, as signals take a slightly different time to arrive at the receiving end and as a result suffer visible color separation between Red, Green and Blue.

This distortion increases for higher resolution signals and is often called "SKEW" - the effects are removed by adding a short, wide bandwidth delay to the signals that arrive at the monitor first.
