Product Details

NEW! Audio Authority SCP-11, Single Cat5 HD Box Transmitter/Receiver Set (1 x 1180T, 1 x 1180R)

1:1 Single Cat 5 Component / Digital Audio Extender
Model SCP-11

Our leading AGE (Active Gain Equalization) technology, now applied to a single Cat 5 system suitable for transmitting 1080p component video and digital coaxial audio up to 1,000 feet from the source.

For maximum installation flexibility, the Cat 5 receivers are phantom powered from the transmitter for runs up to 700 feet. Receiver power supply (571-014) required for >700 ft. distances. Made in the USA.

The SCP-11 system includes (1) 1180T and (1) 1180R.

Overview
The SCP-11 is a high performance point-to-point extender that enables transmission of high definition component video and multi-channel digital audio up to 1,000 feet from the source. Utilizing Audio Authority's proprietary AGE (Active Gain Equalization) technology, image quality is maintained over long distances. Passive baluns can't compete with active balanced line technology like that found in the SCP-11, which offers higher bandwidth, excellent impedance matching, and superior noise rejection.

 • Perfect HD picture up to 1,000 feet from the source via AGE technology
 • High bandwidth for 1080p component video, and coaxial, multi-channel, digital surround audio signals
 • 1:1 or 1:2 configurations possible - each transmitter has two Cat 5 receiver outputs
 • SCP-11 system includes 1180T box transmitter and 1180R box receiver
 • 1180T transmitter also works with wallplate style 1180RD receivers
 • Made in the USA

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: How many Cat 5 cables are required to use the SCP-11D?
A: Only a single Cat 5e or Cat 6 cable is required to use the SCP-11D.

Q: The Cat 5 Receiver wallplate has a power jack - is power required?
A: No. The receiver is phantom-powered from the transmitter for distances less than 700 feet. If extending beyond 700 feet, a receiver-end power supply may be required.

Q: Can I add another receiver to the SCP-11D?
A: Yes, the 1180TD transmitter has two output jacks, allowing 1:2 signal distribution.

Q: Can I mix the wallplate style and surface mount style Cat 5 extenders?
