Product Details

PCI 2.2 64-bit/66 Mhz Ultral60 Dual/Single Channel SCSI Host Adapters.

DC-390U3D
Dual Ultra 160 SCSI Host Adapter
•   Combining a 64-bit PCI interface with two Ultra 160 SCSI channels, this card moves data at the fastest speed possible. The DC-390U3D supports up to 30 devices, making it ideal for connecting external drive arrays and mirroring and striping SCSI hard disk drives, all to deliver the ultimate performance in the most demanding environment.

•   Tekram makes it easy for you to migrate to the latest technology with a full family of Ultra 160 SCSI host adapters, DC-390U3D/W series. The DC-390U3D is a PCI dual channel Ultra 160 SCSI host adapter, supporting the combined data rate up to 320MB/s and 30 devices maximum. The DC-390U3W is a PCI Ultra 160 SCSI host adapter, supporting up to 160MB/s and 15 devices maximum.

•   Tekram's DC-390U3D/W series features Ultra160 SCSI (LVD) technology, delivering twice the speed of Ultra 2 SCSI. Maximum data transfer rate is up to 160MB/s. To ensure data integrity and reliability, the DC-390U3D/W series includes two new features ¨C CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Checking) and Domain Validation. CRC protects data from being lost in the event of a poor connection or during hot-swap of a new drive into a system. Domain Validation helps to ensure that data transfer rates happen at the highest possible rate. The DC-390U3D/W series supports cable length up to 12 meters for maximum configuration flexibility. Besides connecting for Ultra 160 hard drives, the DC-390U3D/W series supports popular narrow SCSI devices such as CD-R/W, CD-ROM, MO, Scanner, Tape, and etc¡

Features:

Cyclical redundancy checking (CRC):
•   rotects data from being lost in the event of a poor connection or during hot-swap of a new drive into a system. Core feature of Ultra160 SCSI devices.

Domain validation:
•   helps to ensure that data transfer rates happen at the highest possible rate. If the highest rate is not possible, domain validation allows the device to ship to a lower data transfer speed before data transfer begins. Core feature of Ultra160 SCSI devices.

Double edge clocking:
•   allows SCSI to continue doubling performance. Current SCSI devices can operate up to 160 Megabytes/second while future products based on Ultra320 and Ultra640 SCSI devices will operate up to 320 and 640 Megabytes/second, respectively. Core feature of Ultra160 SCSI devices.
