Component Video is a video encoding standard with the signals Y-Pb-Pr which are different than Red, Green and Blue. The Red Green and blue color coding of each cable is for Pr, Y and Pb respectively. Each cable is essentially the same, only with a different color code. They are all 75 ohm Coax cables with RCA connectors.
What to look for? Quality Connectors are essential for long term reliability. The longer a component video cable is, the larger and higher the quality needs to be for reduced signal loss. A higher quality component video cable will also have reduced signal ringing and the related video artifacts.
