Crystal-clear and seamless switching of all SD and HD analog video formats
480i, 576i, 480p, 576p, 1080i/540p, 720p, and 1080p, as well as VGA
Component (Y, Pb, Pr), VGA (RGBHV), S-Video (with adapter), Composite Video

Audio Switching:
Analog Left and Right stereo
Digital PCM
Generates a simultaneous Toslink Optical Audio output (from the digital PCM audio input) for the selected input
Multiple means to control the switching, with front-panel

LEDs to indicate the status:
Automatically looks for sync on Input “1”
Front-panel pushbutton manual override
Infrared (IR) remote control, included

12 Volt Trigger Control:
Special wire cable (12” cable included with your Switcher)
provides +12 Volts when inserted into appropriate jack and the desired input channel is switched
Can be cascaded to other KD-CSW2x1 or other Key Digital™
switchers to switch as many inputs as desired

Video Signal Properties:
Inputs and Outputs have the same scanning format All known SDTV and HDTV formats are accepted at 50 Hz or 60 Hz, including 480i, 576i, 480p, 576p, 1080i/540p, 720p, and 1080p
Video bandwidth -3 dB at 300 MHz, linear-phase passband, unity gain terminated to 75 ohms

Inputs:
There are 2 Input Groups (“1” and “2”), and each Input Group
can accept the following Inputs:

Video Inputs:
3 color-coded RCA video input jacks for Component Video (Y, Pb, Pr) with composite sync on “Y”

VGA (RGBHV) video (use the L&R audio connectors for H&V)
S-Video (with adapter)
Composite Video (CV)

Audio Inputs:
2 color-coded RCA analog audio jacks (standard line-type Left & Right pairs). Can not be used for audio when VGA H&V are used as an input
1 color-coded RCA jack for digital PCM
Either input can be selected to drive the output

Outputs:
There is 1 Output Group consisting of:

Video Outputs:
3 color-coded RCA video input jacks for Component Video (Y, Pb, Pr) with composite sync on “Y”
VGA (RGBHV) video (use the L&R audio connectors for H&V)
S-Video (with adapter)
Composite Video (CV)

Audio Outputs:
2 color-coded RCA analog audio jacks (standard line-type Left & Right pairs). Can not be used for audio when VGA H&V are used as an input
1 color-coded RCA jack for digital PCM
Simultaneously provides Toslink Optical Audio link by converting the digital PCM audio for the switched input Both the Video and Audio switch together
Output = Input
Outputs can be cascaded to other KD-CSW2x1 or other Key
Digital™ switchers to switch as many inputs as desired

Status and Control:
Front-panel LEDs to indicate the mode (automatic or manual switching) and status (which Input has been switched to the Output)

Included IR Remote:
Press “1” to select the “1” input
Press “2” to select the “2” input
Press “9” for auto-sensing mode
Automatic switching mode: automatically looks for sync on Input “1”:
If input “1” has active video (that is, active sync) on the “Y” line, automatically the output switches to input “1”
Otherwise, the output switches to input “2” Turning off an unwanted source allows automatic display of a wanted source
Auto-switching works only if the sync is inactive when the undesired input is turned off - some Set Top Boxes (STB’s) output active sync even when they are turned off, so it is advised to connect these devices to Input “2”

Manual switching mode:
Infrared (IR) remote control
One front-panel pushbutton allows manual override of automatic switching

12 Volt Trigger Control:
Must be used in conjunction with the cable provided by Key Digital™ with your KD-CSW2x1
Requires the removal of the small faceplate on the top of the Flash Max 2 unit
Exposed jack “J4” (towards the front) will provide a 12 Volt Trigger Control when the “1” Input is selected Exposed jack “J3” (towards the rear) will provide a 12 Volt Trigger Control when the “2” Input is selected
