Audio Interface for AVAtrix

The AVAtrix plays well with whole-house audio systems! The flexible 1172 Audio Interface allows an independent audio distribution system to be connected to the AVAtrix.

The 1172 provides an audio breakout point for the AVAtrix to connect an independent audio distribution system of any brand that accepts stereo analog audio or digital audio.

•   Six audio inputs from internal AVAtrix bus cable
•   Six audio outputs (analog stereo and coaxial digital)
•   Infrared remote jack for IR pathway
•   Rack ears available (Model 1191)

The 1172 can be used in two different ways: Source Mode, with an advanced audio system having its own integrated switching, and Tracking Mode, with an audio system that employs dedicated amplifiers for each room or zone. •   In Source Mode, each 1172 output always provides the audio signal from its
     corresponding source input on the AVAtrix (e.g. source 1 audio is always
     available on 1172 output 1).
•   In Tracking Mode, each 1172 output switches its content along with the AVAtrix so that
     the audio distribution system’s output automatically matches what is playing on
     the video display in each room.
•   Both modes allow for infrared communication from the AVAtrix Wallplates in each room
     back to a whole house audio system.
