Cat 5 Multidriver Expander

Expander for 1171-based systems, such as the AVM-71.

Adds six additional outputs to Model 1166, 1156, or 1171. The Model 1170 Cat 5 outputs deliver identical audio and video to 9878 Wallplates in six remote locations. The outputs are not matrixed. For matrixed output from an AVAtrix, use model 1176.

It's easy to expand your 1100 Series Cat 5 Distribution system to any size. Simply stack 1170 Expanders with the main Cat 5 driver and connect additional Wallplates. Up to 48 Wallplates may be served in this way. See the PDF Installation Manual for details.

Model 9878 Wallplate  (Sold Separately)Wallplates are easy to install in a standard dual-gang electrical box. Two Cat 5 cables deliver component video, digital audio and analog audio to each Wallplate. The 3.5mm IR jack provides a convenient pathway for a third party IR remote distribution network over the Cat 5 pathway. Use compatible IR receivers and emitters (see 1166, or 1171 manual). IR receiver and emitter equipment not included.
